An Update

As I have posted on Pigeonbasics.com the mini-sites there are set to close in the next few days.

However I’m not quite ready to push the big green button here just yet. There are couple of aspects to the new site that have taken a little longer than expected.

It is really important that the foundations are good for the site to encompass some of the new features that are planned. But at the same time that complexity must be hidden, it must still be easy to use and understand, because a hard to use site will not be used.

A welcome note

Thanks for checking out PigeonSportLive :)

I’m Richard [photo] , former developer behind Pigeonbasics.

On Pigeonbasics we enabled any pigeon club to sign up to publish their news, results, photos… It worked great, however the site grew in other directions that concentrated in other areas of pigeon racing.

Now having passed proverbial reins it gives me the opportunity to focus on what used to be called “mini-sites” on Pigeonbasics.

Enter PigeonSportLive.

PigeonSportLive will be a completely overhauled “mini-sites” system. At first we are concentrating on moving across all of the existing data, and updating the existing functionality. So that’s; news, results, and photos.

There’s a lot of work involved in just transferring the data and keeping the same features - we want to make each and every feature both easier to use and more powerful. But we’ve got some fairly cool ideas to throw in along the way too :)
